New Delhi: Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong has arrived in India to attend the crucial G20 meeting.

Before her arrival in India, the Australian minister said in a statement: This week I will travel to Malaysia and India to advance Australias bilateral relationships and promote Australias interests in a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.

This is Wongs first visit to India.

This will be my first visit to India as Foreign Minister, and I look forward to meeting my counterparts at the G20 Foreign Ministers Meeting in New Delhi, read her statement.

She had said, Australia strongly supports Indias G20 Presidency and welcomes Indias ambitious, action oriented G20 agenda, under the theme One Earth, One Family, One Future.

She will also attend the 2023 Raisina Dialogue.

This year is an important milestone in Australias bilateral relationship with India, with many high-level Ministerial visits between our two countries, she said.

The Raisina Dialogue is Indias flagship conference on geopolitics and geo-strategy. It is organized by Ministry of External Affairs in collaboration with Observer Research Foundation (ORF).

The 8th Edition of the Raisina Dialogue will be held from Mar 2 to Mar 4.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Dialogue on Mar 2.

President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic, Giorgia Meloni, will join the inaugural session as the Chief Guest.

The Raisina Dialogue 2023 will witness participation of representatives from over 100 countries including Ministers, former Heads of State and Heads of Government, Military Commanders, Captains of the Industry, Technology Leaders, Academia, Journalists, Scholars on Strategic Affairs, Experts from leading Think Tanks, and Youth. This years edition assumes special significance coming against the backdrop of Indias G20 Presidency.
