SIP contributions increased by 2.7% in June compared to May

Inflows into Indian equity mutual funds accelerated over 26 per cent to 28,973 crore rupees in June, compared with 22,908 crore rupees in May. According to data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) contributions stood at 31,781 crore rupees in June, marking a 2.7 per cent increase from May.
Among the equity fund categories, Mid-cap funds attracted the highest inflows in june, garnering more than 6,000 crore rupees. They were followed by small-cap funds, flexi-cap funds, Multi-cap funds and large-cap funds. Meanwhile, the trend reversed in Gold Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), which witnessed inflows of 3,443 crore rupees last month as compared with the outflows recorded in previous months. However, Debt funds continued to witness net outflows in June, with total withdrawals of around 1 lakh 9 thousand crore rupees.
