The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim till Sunday. IMD also predicted heavy rainfall over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal till Friday, while Bihar, Kerala and Mahe will experience heavy rainfall for the day. The weather agency added that thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds of speeds upto 50 kilometre per hour is expected over Delhi, Chandigarh, Haryana, Punjab Himachal Pradesh, Interior Karnataka, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra today.Meanwhile, IMD has issued an orange colour warning for dust storms at isolated places over West Rajasthan today. It also predicted heat wave conditions over parts of Vidarbha and Telangana till tomorrow. It added that hot and humid weather conditions are very likely at isolated places over Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Odisha till tomorrow.
