Australian Open: PV Sindhu to face world champion Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in women’s singles semi

In Badminton, India’s PV Sindhu will face world champion Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in the women’s singles semi-finals of the Australian Open in Sydney today.
The third-seeded Indian booked her place in the last four with a commanding 21-6, 21-9 victory over Chen Su Yu in just 27 minutes in the quarter-finals. In another quarter-final, Yamaguchi defeated India’s Tanvi Sharma 21-14, 21-14 to set up the semi-final clash against Sindhu.
