Kangana Ranaut has defended Ranveer Singh amid the FWICE boycott controversy linked to his exit from Don 3. Speaking at the trailer launch of Bharat Bhagya Vidhata, the actress said rising success often attracts more critics and advised Ranveer not to worry, expressing confidence that everything will eventually be fine.
National Award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut has come out in support of Bollywood star Ranveer Singh amid the controversy surrounding his reported exit from the upcoming film “Don 3” and the subsequent non-cooperation directive issued against him by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).
Kangana, who is currently preparing for the release of her upcoming film “Bharat Bhagya Vidhata,” addressed the issue while interacting with the media during the trailer launch event of the film in Mumbai on Tuesday.
During the event, the actress was asked to comment on the FWICE action against Ranveer Singh following reports of a fallout between the actor and filmmaker-producer Farhan Akhtar regarding “Don 3.” Responding to the question, Kangana drew from her own experiences in the film industry and suggested that professional challenges often accompany growing success.
Speaking to reporters, Kangana said that it is natural for influential personalities to attract criticism and opposition as their stature increases. According to the actress, Ranveer Singh should view the controversy as a sign of his growing prominence rather than a setback.
Kangana remarked that she herself has faced several controversies and bans throughout her career but has continued to move forward successfully. She emphasized that obstacles are a common part of professional life and should not discourage individuals from pursuing their goals.
The actress further advised Ranveer not to be overly concerned about the boycott directive, stating that such measures rarely have a lasting impact on an artist’s career. She expressed confidence that the situation would eventually be resolved and that things would work out positively for the actor.
The controversy emerged after FWICE reportedly announced a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh. The decision followed complaints from producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, who allegedly informed the organization that they had incurred losses of nearly Rs 45 crore during the pre-production phase of “Don 3.”
The development has generated significant discussion within the film industry, with many closely watching how the dispute unfolds. Ranveer Singh, one of Bollywood’s leading actors, has not yet made any major public statement regarding the latest developments.
Meanwhile, Kangana’s remarks have added a new dimension to the debate, with the actress publicly extending support to Ranveer during a challenging phase. Her comments underline the pressures that often accompany success in the entertainment industry and highlight the resilience required to navigate professional controversies.
