North Tripura DM launched a unique employee recognition initiative featuring monthly awards and staff engagement programmes to promote professionalism, teamwork, voter awareness, and a positive office environment under District Magistrate Chandni Chandran’s leadership.
The North Tripura District Administration has introduced a new initiative aimed at promoting a positive and motivating work culture within government offices by recognising dedicated employees and encouraging stronger workplace relationships.
The programme, launched under the leadership of District Magistrate and Collector Chandni Chandran, focuses on rewarding professionalism, teamwork, efficiency, and commitment among staff members. Officials said the initiative is designed to create a more supportive and employee-friendly atmosphere across different administrative departments.
The initiative was highlighted during the district’s monthly staff meeting held recently, where several officials and employees were honoured with the “Best Employee of the Month” award for their outstanding service and dedication to duty.
Among the key award recipients was Kaushik Bhowmik, who received appreciation for his active contribution during the Dharmanagar Assembly by-election process and preparations related to the upcoming 2026 TTAADC General Elections.
District officials particularly praised his innovative contribution in creating a voter awareness song aimed at educating and motivating first-time voters. The awareness campaign was widely circulated across different areas of the Dharmanagar Assembly constituency to increase voter participation and public engagement during the election process.
District Magistrate Chandni Chandran appreciated the creative outreach effort and highlighted the importance of innovative communication methods in strengthening democratic participation and public awareness. Officials stated that such initiatives help bridge the gap between administration and citizens while encouraging greater involvement in electoral activities.
Apart from recognising high-performing employees, the administration also organised a birthday celebration for staff members born in April. Employees gathered for a cake-cutting ceremony and informal interaction, reflecting the administration’s emphasis on building stronger interpersonal relationships and improving workplace morale.
According to district officials, the combined approach of professional recognition and employee engagement is contributing to a healthier, more cooperative, and productive office environment. They added that acknowledging employees for their hard work motivates staff members to perform their responsibilities with greater sincerity and enthusiasm.
The initiative has already received positive feedback from various sections of the administration as well as members of the local community. Many have appreciated the effort to make government workplaces more people-centric, motivating, and emotionally supportive.
