Tripura BJP launches Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Training Mahabhiyan 2026 as Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha emphasizes disciplined leadership, ideological clarity, and stronger grassroots organization to boost public outreach and strengthen party activities across mandal levels.
A major organizational training initiative was officially launched by the Tripura BJP on Wednesday as Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Training Mahabhiyan 2026 at the party’s state headquarters. The programme aims to strengthen the party structure from the state level down to mandal units while preparing party workers for more effective grassroots engagement.
The campaign is being viewed as a significant organizational exercise designed to enhance leadership skills, ideological understanding, and coordination among BJP workers across Tripura. Senior leaders, ministers, MLAs, district presidents, and office-bearers attended the inaugural workshop, highlighting the importance attached to the initiative by the party leadership.
Addressing party functionaries and trainers during the event, Dr. Manik Saha emphasized that training has always remained an essential component of the BJP’s organizational framework. He said the programme would help create disciplined, efficient, and people-oriented leadership capable of working closely with citizens at the grassroots level.
“Training is a part and parcel of our organization. Like previous years, this year too our karyakartas are undergoing sessions on ideology, governance, and development works carried out under the BJP-led government,” Dr. Saha stated during his address.
The Chief Minister noted that the training modules have been prepared under the guidance of the party’s central leadership. He also acknowledged the role of Tripura BJP chief spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty, who is leading the implementation of this year’s campaign.
Dr. Saha said the Mahabhiyan draws inspiration from the philosophy and ideals of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, one of the foremost ideological leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party. According to him, the campaign is intended to ensure that party workers remain connected to the organization’s guiding principles while improving their public outreach and communication skills.
Highlighting the broader objective of the initiative, the Chief Minister expressed confidence that the training programme would bring greater momentum to party activities throughout the state. He added that strengthening organizational networks at the grassroots level remains crucial for maintaining direct engagement with people and understanding public concerns effectively.
Tripura BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee also addressed the gathering and described the workshop as a crucial step toward building a stronger and more cohesive organizational structure. He stressed that capable workers and a disciplined organization are essential for ensuring the party’s long-term growth and effectiveness.
“Capable workers and a strong organization are the twin messages of this campaign. Such initiatives will sharpen the skills of our karyakartas and reinforce their ideological commitment,” Bhattacharjee said.
The training sessions scheduled under the Mahabhiyan will cover a wide range of topics, including party philosophy, governance models, organizational discipline, communication strategies, and methods for effective public engagement. Party leaders believe the campaign will help create a more efficient network of trained workers across all districts and mandals in Tripura.

Political observers view the initiative as part of the BJP’s continuing efforts to consolidate its organizational presence in the northeastern state ahead of future political challenges.
