Fifteenth edition of “ICARIA” the techno-culture festival of the ICFAI University has been ended on 3rd February, 2023 with a great joy which was began on 31st January,2023. The Festival inaugurated by Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. (Dr.) Biplab Halder along with other dignitaries Pranabendu Das, the Chief General Manager of ONGC Tripura Asset, Biswajit Debbarma, General Manager of GAIL Tripura and Dr. T K Maity, Principal of College of Agriculture. Prof. (Dr.) Halder has given the welcome address and explained about various activities and achievements of the university during the inauguration. Due to some unavoidable circumstances the famous Indian weightlifter and Tokyo Olympics Silver Medalist Saikhom Mirabai Chanu who was invited to be the chief guest of the inaugural ceremony was unable to attend but she has given a video speech in the Inauguration Program.
The three-day, four- night fest was consist of Inaugural night, Culture night, Celebrity night and DJ night and lots of Culture & Technical events and other skill competitions. The students from various schools and colleges from Tripura and other north eastern states participated in various competitions. Participations of little school children’s in various skill competitions were played an extra attraction of the festival. On 2nd February, the famous Bollywood playback singer Yasser Desai performed the Celebrity night. The whole program was live telecasted through ICFAI You-Tube, Facebook & Instagram.
On 3rd February Celebrity DJ- Sartek played DJ after the Fashion Show and valedictory program. Loken Das, General Manager of NABARD was present in the valedictory program as Chief Guest and Mrs. Banani Debbarman, Director (Commercial) of TNGCL was present as Guest of Honour for the program. The program ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. A Ranganath, Registrar of the University and he expressed his heartiest thanks to all concerned for successful completion of the program. The organizing committees of the festival ICARIA have expressed its great success of the program with the immense help of all concerned through a press release.
