In Tamil Nadu, Union Home Minister, Senior BJP leader Amit Shah also campaigned at Sivagiri and Modakurichi in Erode District. Addressing the crowd, the senior BJP leader asserted that the NDA led by the AIADMK general Secretary is a successful alliance. He criticised the DMK Government for being an inactive Government, not mindful of the welfare of the people. Their alliance has deserted the welfare of women when the Modi Government wanted to bring the Women’s Reservation Bill.
He accused the DMK and Congress alliance of being selfish and said that the alliance should be avoided by the people. The Defence Minister and Senior leader of the BJP today campaigned at Tenkasi for the BJP alliance candidates. He said that the DMK which is against the Sanatan Dharma and against lighting of the lamp at Deepathoon should not be elected as they are against the welfare of the Hindus.
General Secretary of the AIADMK ,E.Palanisamy while campaigning at Namakkal said that when his party is elected to power, the Government would give 1400 units free for farmers. He said that the schemes of the then AIADMK Government were dropped by the DMK government. He criticised the DMK for not fulfilling the promises assured in the manifesto released in 2021. TVK leader is campaigning at Trichy East is conducting a roadshow as he is contesting there. In another development Avinash Kumar, IG of Technical Services has been transferred to State Intelligence today by the election commission.
