Minister Ratan Lal Nath leads BJP door-to-door campaign in Dharmanagar, expressing strong confidence in victory as public support grows for candidate Jahar Chakraborty. Development, welfare schemes, and Modi’s vision dominate the by-election narrative in Tripura.
Tripura Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath conducted an extensive door-to-door campaign on Sunday, expressing strong confidence in a decisive victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The campaign was carried out alongside BJP-nominated candidate Jahar Chakraborty, covering key polling areas in booth numbers 35 and 51.
The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, with the Minister stating that the overwhelming public response clearly reflected growing support for the BJP. Speaking to reporters after the outreach program, Nath emphasized that the trust and faith of the people were visible at every doorstep.
“During today’s campaign, we made a simple appeal—let the chariot of development continue without interruption. The support for our candidate Jahar Chakraborty was evident everywhere. People welcomed us with smiles, blessings, and a sense of silent assurance that they trust BJP’s leadership,” Nath said.
He further described the campaign experience as energizing, noting that the emotional connection with voters reinforced the party’s belief in its development-driven agenda. According to Nath, the response from the public was not merely political support but a reflection of their aspirations for sustained progress and better infrastructure.
The Minister credited the BJP government’s developmental initiatives for the growing popularity in Dharmanagar and across Tripura. He highlighted key welfare measures, including enhanced social pensions, distribution of free rice, housing schemes, improved road connectivity, and access to clean drinking water.
“We believe only in development and delivering results. The BJP government has transformed infrastructure in the region. Earlier, proper roads were hardly visible, but today, Dharmanagar is witnessing steady growth. These changes have strengthened people’s confidence in us,” he added.
Nath also pointed to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the central government’s vision of inclusive development is being effectively implemented at the state level. He stressed that the BJP’s focus remains on uplifting every section of society, especially the marginalized.

“The Prime Minister’s vision is to ensure development reaches the last person in society. Our state government is committed to following that path. Today’s response from voters clearly indicates that people want this journey of progress to continue,” Nath remarked.
The by-election in Dharmanagar is being closely watched as a crucial test for the BJP’s political standing in the region. With intensified campaigning and visible grassroots engagement, the party is aiming to consolidate its voter base and secure a convincing win.
