Indian stock markets remained closed today on account of Good Friday. Trading in equities, equity derivatives, securities lending and borrowing, currency and commodity derivatives segment remained shut for the day on both the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange.
Yesterday, benchmark domestic equity indices staged a smart recovery from steep losses, and ended about 0.2 per cent higher. The Sensex advanced 185 points to close at 73 thousand and 320, while Nifty added 34 points to settle at 22 thousand and 713.
