EC Replaces Police Observers in Malda After Trinamool Congress Complaint

Following complaints from the Trinamool Congress, the Election Commission has replaced police observers in four assembly constituencies of Malda district. Hriday Kant, an IPS officer from the Bihar cadre, has been appointed as the new observer for Manikchak, Mothabari, Sujapur, and Baishnabnagar. It may be mentioned that Jayant Kant had previously held responsibility as police observer in these constituencies. The Trinamool Congress objected to his appointment.
