Major Asian indices closed on a mixed note today. South Korea’s Kospi index surged over 3.1 per cent, Singapore’s Straits Times Index advanced over 0.6 per cent, and China’s Shanghai Composite Index eked out a marginal gain. In contrast, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index shed about 0.9 per cent and Japan’s Nikkei 225 index dipped marginally.
Major European indices were trading up today. Germany’s DAX was trading one and half a per cent higher, France CAC 40 advanced 0.7 per cent, and London’s FTSE 100 edged up about 0.1 per cent, when reports last came in.
