Confederation of Indian Industry- CII today lauded the India-US Trade deal, calling it a significant step towards the strategic economic partnership between both nations. CII President, Mr Rajiv Memani, said that the expected reduction to 18 per cent will enhance the global competitiveness of Indian products while catalysing manufacturing growth, employment creation and the development of resilient supply chains. He added, this trade deal underscores the shared commitment of India and the United States to deepen trade, technology and investment ties in an increasingly competitive global landscape. Mr Memani further reaffirmed CII’s continued engagement with business stakeholders in both countries to translate this momentum into tangible outcomes for businesses and sustained economic growth.
