In badminton, India will be aiming for title glory at the Syed Modi International 2025 today, with Kidambi Srikanth and the women’s doubles pair of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand set to compete in their summit clashes of the Syed Modi International Badminton Championships at the Babu Banarasi Das Indoor Stadium in Lucknow.
 
Srikanth will take on world No. 59 Jason Gunawan of Hong Kong, China in the men’s singles final. The match will begin at 3:20 in the afternoon. The world No. 38 secured his spot in the summit clash after a 2-1 victory over fellow Indian Mithun Manjunath in the semifinals last night.
 
In women’s doubles, top seeds Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand will face Japan’s 8th-seeded duo Kaho Osawa and Mai Tanabe in the final. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:30 pm. The Indian pair advanced with a strong 2-1 win over Malaysia’s Ong Xin Yee and Carmen Ting in their semifinal. However, India’s campaign came to an end in other categories.
 
In women’s singles, top seed Unnati Hooda lost to Turkiye’s fourth seed Neslihan Arın, while Tanvi Sharma went down to Japan’s Hina Akechi. In the mixed doubles final, Hariharan Amsakarunan and Treesa Jolly were defeated by Indonesia’s eighth seeds Dejan Ferdinansyah and Bernadine Wardana.
