The Election Commission today informed that over 42 crore enumeration forms have been distributed among electors since the launch of Special Intensive Revision SIR Phase II on the 4th of this month. It is 82.71 per cent of the total 51 crore electors to be covered in this phase. A maximum of over 12 crore 33 lakh forms have been handed over in Uttar Pradesh.
Over 7.14 crore forms have been given in West Bengal. In the second phase, the ECI has launched the SIR in nine states and three Union Territories. The ongoing Enumeration Phase will continue till the 4th of next month.
