All preparations are in place for conducting free and fair bye-elections to be held for the Ghatshila assembly seat tomorrow in Jharkhand. A total of 13 candidates are in the fray for the by-elections. Election personnel, security officials and polling parties are being sent to their respective clusters and polling stations in GPS-fitted vehicles from the dispatch centre located at the local Cooperative College in Jamshedpur.
District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner, East Singhbhum Karn Satyarthi said that the district administration is all set for conducting free and fair by-elections for the Ghatshila seat. He also instructed the polling parties today at the dispatch centre. Meanwhile, Jharkhand police have set up 57 check posts in 10 districts, which share the borders with eight districts of Bihar, three districts of West Bengal and two districts of Odisha, ahead of the second phase of the Bihar Assembly and Ghatshila bye-election scheduled on November 11.
