Election campaigning for the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections is in full swing. Star campaigners and senior leaders from both the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan addressed rallies today across regions going to polls in this phase, including Seemanchal, Champaran and Magadh areas.
While addressing an election rally in support of NDA candidates in East Champaran and West Champaran, BJP National President JP Nadda said that NDA stands for good governance. Speaking at a public meeting in Madhuban, he alleged that during RJD regime, Bihar witnessed lawlessness and period of darkness. He said that under the NDA government, highways, internet, railways, and airports have become symbols of development in Bihar.
Janata Dal (United) President and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar addressed public meetings in Araria, Katihar, and Kishanganj. Senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh held rallies in Jamui and Banka, accusing the Mahagathbandhan of misleading people with false claims of development. In Rohtas, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that if the NDA returns to power, the development of Bihar will be guaranteed.
On the other hand, several prominent leaders of the Mahagathbandhan also addressed election rallies. Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi campaigned in Valmikinagar and Chanpatia in support of Mahagathbandhan candidates, alleging that the NDA has deceived people in the name of a double-engine government. She said, the real government is being run by the BJP through remote control.
The Mahagathbandhan’s Chief Ministerial candidate Tejashwi Prasad Yadav addressed multiple rallies. He said all the seven parties of Mahagathbandhan are intact. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav and CPI(ML) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya also held public meetings in Nawada and Arwal.
