The star campaigners of both the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan have intensified their election campaigns for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections. Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed an election rally in Khagaria. He is also scheduled to address rallies in Munger and Nalanda districts. Meanwhile, the public meeting of RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, which was scheduled to be held in Khagaria, has been postponed.
Speaking to reporters in Patna, Mr. Yadav accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of indulging in negative politics. The RJD leader said that the NDA government has failed to address issues such as employment, industrial development, and migration. Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor alleged that both the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan have failed to meet the aspirations of the people. In Motihari he claimed that Jan Suraaj represents a better alternative for Bihar.
