Curfew continues in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur until 6 am on September 12

Curfew will remain in place in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur districts until 6 am on September 12. In addition, in eastern Nepal, bordering China, in Sankhuwasabha district, the administration has issued a curfew order. In line with Section 6 (a) of the Local Administration Act, 2028, the District Administration Office, Sankhuwasabha, imposed curfew to be effective from 6:00 pm today to 6:00 am the next day. During the curfew in force, meetings, rallies, demonstrations and movements are prohibited. Those violating the order would face strict action by the security personnel, the office warned.
