United States Vice President J. D. Vance says the US is not placing more tariffs on China for its trade partnership with Russia, as existing ones are already high. In an interview with NBC, Mr Vance was asked why Washington was not imposing secondary sanctions on Beijing as the largest buyer of Russian oil. He said the US authorities have had a number of conversations at all levels of government to try and persuade China to assist the US in resolving the Ukrainian crisis. China is slapped with 54% tariff by the Trump administration.
