Asian markets displayed mixed trend today. Japan’s Nikkei 225 hit a record high, gaining over 2.1 per cent, China’s Shanghai Composite Index added half per cent, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose 0.25 per cent. On the other side, South Korea’s Kospi dropped over half per cent, and Singapore’s Straits Times index dipped around 0.3 per cent. Major European indices were trading mixed in intra-day trade. France’s CAC 40 added around 0.2 per cent, Germany’s DAX was trading 0.4 per cent down, while London’s FTSE 100 was unchanged, when reports last came in.
