Judiciary, executive, and legislature exist to deliver justice to the last citizen of the country: CJI B.R. Gavai

Must Read

Chief Justice of India B.R. Gavai said that the judiciary, executive, and legislature exist to deliver justice to the last citizen of the country. Stressing the need for a calibrated and coordinated effort among these pillars, he said every step must be taken to ensure that justice is delivered at the earliest and at the least cost. He was speaking after inaugurating the newly constructed Court Building of the Gauhati High Court’s Itanagar Permanent Bench at Naharlagun.

Mr. Gavai said that despite facing several crisis over the past 75 years after independence, the nation has remained strong, united, and is on the path to becoming a developed country. He said this was only possible by the strength of the Indian Constitution. The Chief Justice of India also added that the North-East is one of the most important parts of India, and said that the Constitution provides special provisions to preserve and safeguard the tribal communities of the region. Union Ministers Kiren Rijiju and Arjun Ram Meghwal, Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, along with a host of dignitaries, were present on the occasion.
