The Election Commission has doubled the remuneration for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and enhanced the remuneration of BLO Supervisors involved in the preparation and revision of electoral rolls. The poll body, in a statement, informed that as per the revised structure, the annual remuneration for BLOs has been doubled from six thousand rupees to twelve thousand rupees. Additionally, the incentive for BLOs for the revision of electoral rolls has been increased from one thousand rupees to two thousand rupees. BLO Supervisors, who play a crucial role in overseeing the electoral roll preparation process, will now receive eighteen thousand rupees annually, up from twelve thousand rupees.
The Election Commission has provided an honorarium for AEROs and EROs for the first time, who will be given 25 thousand rupees and 30 thousand rupees, respectively. The poll body has also approved a special incentive of six thousand rupees for BLOs for Special Intensive Revision-SIR starting from Bihar.
