Lakshya Sen also advanced to the last eight after a hard-fought 21-14, 14-21, 21-17 win over Indonesia’s Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo. He will meet China’s Zhu Xuan Chen in today’s quarterfinal.

In men’s doubles, India’s top-ranked pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Japan’s Kakeru Kumagai and Hiroki Nishi 10-21, 22-20, 21-16. They will now face the Malaysian duo of Choong Hon Jian and Muhammad Haikal in their quarterfinal clash today.
