The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for extremely heavy rainfall over Chhattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Konkan, and Goa till tomorrow.
The IMD has also forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Coastal Karnataka, East Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Kerala, Mahe, Marathwada, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Odisha, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal today. Parts of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh are also expected to experience moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning till the 29th of this month. Meanwhile, Delhi woke up to a light drizzle today, bringing respite from the hot and humid weather in the national capital.
