In another women’s singles clash, India’s Unnati Hooda knocked out Scottish shuttler Kirsty Gilmour 2- nil. Sindhu will take on Unnati in the pre-quarterfinals today.
In the Men’s Doubles draw, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty duo put up a dominant performance to progress into the Round of 16. The pair outclassed Japan’s Kenya Mitsuhashi and Hiroki Okamura with a convincing 2-nil straight-game win. Today, the duo will be up against Indonesia’s Leo Rolly Carnando and Bagas Maulana in the pre-quarterfinals.
