India’s retail inflation, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), eased to 2.10 per cent for the month of June, down from 2.82 per cent in May, data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation showed today. This is down 72 basis points in comparison to May, 2025, and the lowest year-on-year inflation since January, 2019.

There was a significant drop of 205 basis points in food inflation in June, 2025, over the same period last year.
