Weather conditions in Ladakh continue to remain pleasant today as well, following a brief spell of rainfall and cloudy weather since yesterday, after a long period of dry and hot weather across the Union Territory. Our Leh correspondent reports that cloudy weather has brought huge relief to the people and visiting tourists from the scorching heat wave experienced over the last week of June.
The MET, Centre Leh Ladakh, in its weather forecast, said the effect of the active monsoon and the western disturbance will continue across Ladakh and its neighbouring Union Territory, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh till tomorrow.
According to the MET, Centre, Leh light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur at scattered places of different parts of Ladakh such as Leh, Kargil, Drass, Zanskar and Nubra and in its advisory has advised to the people and tourists to stay away from visiting the vulnerable places of flash flood or mudslide.
