Latest IMD information said (10.17 pm) that ‘Eye of the storm” is still over Bangladesh.
The weathermen anticipate that it will take at least 3 hours to enter Tripura which means it will hit the state with full fury at around 1 am.
“As the storm moves towards Tripura it willl gain intensity and the storm in its full fury will last for about three hours and then it will keep on reducing. By tomorrow noon it will leave the state”, said an official who is well informed about the development of the Cyclone Sitrang.
While there will be Extremely Heavy rain fall the most worrying is that the wind speed may even touch 100 km per hour, he said.
“And with Extremely Heavy rains they meant over 200 mm rainfall”, he added.
