The Indian Army felicitated 44 Manipur students who cleared NEET and JEE 2025 under the Super-50 initiative, offering free coaching to underprivileged students. Their success showcases resilience, mentorship, and hope, marking a powerful step in youth empowerment, education, and societal progress in Manipur.

In a remarkable milestone for education and youth empowerment in Manipur, the Indian Army felicitated 44 students from the state who successfully cleared the highly competitive JEE and NEET examinations in 2025. These students were trained under the transformative Red Shield Centre for Excellence and Wellness, popularly known as the ‘Manipur Super-50’ initiative.

According to Defence spokesperson Lt Col Amit Shukla, this initiative is a collaborative effort between the Indian Army and the National Integrity and Educational Development Organisation (NIEDO), aimed at providing free, high-quality coaching, mentorship, and support to underprivileged but talented students in Manipur. The programme has become a beacon of hope for many aspiring youths, particularly those facing adverse socio-economic conditions.

Out of the 44 students felicitated, 37 cracked the NEET 2025 examination while 13 cleared the JEE 2025. Notably, six students managed to clear both exams—a testament to their exceptional dedication and academic excellence. Among the high achievers was Philem Jenin Singh, who emerged as one of the state NEET toppers with an impressive 97.06 percentile.

Lt Col Shukla highlighted that many of these students had to prepare under extremely challenging conditions, including disruptions to daily life. Despite such hurdles, their commitment to education never wavered. “Their success stands as a testament to their unyielding determination to pursue education, build a brighter future, and be responsible citizens,” he said.

The felicitation ceremony was held on Tuesday in Bishnupur district and was attended by several senior officials, including Bishnupur Deputy Commissioner Pooja Elangbam, Superintendent of Police Ravi Kumar Ksh, and NIEDO Director Rohit Shrivastava. Army and civil administration officials congratulated the students and interacted warmly with their families, acknowledging the vital support and sacrifices made by parents throughout their children’s academic journey.

Prizes and mementos were presented to the successful candidates as a token of appreciation and encouragement. During the event, many parents expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the Indian Army and NIEDO for their role in shaping their children’s futures. “Without this initiative, many of us couldn’t have imagined our children achieving such success,” said one proud parent.

The Indian Army reaffirmed its commitment to promoting education and youth development in Manipur, emphasising that initiatives like the Super-50 do more than just educate—they inspire hope, build character, and foster long-term peace and social progress. “This initiative transforms not just individual lives but uplifts entire communities by empowering the next generation,” Lt Col Shukla remarked.

The Super-50 programme continues to evolve as a model of academic excellence and social impact. It exemplifies what can be achieved when institutional support meets youthful ambition and community encouragement. The resounding success of these 44 students is not only a proud moment for their families and mentors but also a shining example of the potential that lies within the youth of Manipur.

As the applause echoed through the felicitation hall, the message was clear: when given the right support, no dream is too distant, and no barrier insurmountable. With initiatives like the Manipur Super-50, the future of the state’s youth looks not only bright but boundless.
