Must Read

Hindi teachers from Sri Lankan government schools will undergo training in India under a special programme at Kendriya Hindi Sansthan (KHS), Agra for the first time. Ahead of their departure, the High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, Santosh Jha interacted with the 35 selected teachers. Organised by the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC), Colombo, in collaboration with KHS, this is the first-ever training initiative in India for Hindi teachers from government schools in Sri Lanka.     Currently, 88 schools across Sri Lanka offer Hindi as a subject, and the teachers were nominated by Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Education. The programme aims to enhance Hindi teaching skills and strengthen cultural understanding. Wishing them success, the High Commissioner stressed the importance of such initiatives in deepening educational and cultural ties. The training also includes visits to Agra, Delhi, Jaipur, Varanasi, Mathura, Vrindavan, and Fatehpur Sikri.
