Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that the three new Criminal Laws, namely Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam will transform the criminal justice system in the days to come. Speaking at an event on the completion of one year of the these three new criminal laws today, Mr. Shah said that it will take a maximum of three years for the complete implementation of the system. He added that the biggest issue facing India’s criminal justice system was the lack of a timeline for obtaining justice. He noted that justice will be delivered within three years after filing of an FIR after the complete implementation of these laws in the country.
