PM Modi’s long-term vision boosts Railway Infrastructure; ICF targets 4200 coaches this year: MoS V. Somanna –

The Minister of State for Railways and Jal Shakthi V.Somanna has said that due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s long-term vision, Railway infrastructure has increased far and wide, connecting different parts of the Country. He was speaking at an event in the Integral Coach Factory, Perambur, Chennai yesterday. Mr.Somanna, after visiting the furnishing shed of the ICF, said that the Make in India Initiative introduced by the Modi Government has increased production and manufacturing in the Country. He said that Southern States, including Tamilnadu have been faring well in maintaining the growth balance.
 
Listing notable achievements of the Government in railways, like the Vande Bharat trains, he said that it is due to the engineers of the ICF that it has been successful. He said that ICF will produce 50 trains annually. The Minister informed that last year 3700 coaches were built in the factory, and this year 4200 coaches are the target.
