Tripura CM Manik Saha urges BJP workers to strengthen booth-level organisation and build public trust. Emphasizing grassroots engagement, inclusive politics, and PM Modi’s leadership, Saha highlights Tripura’s development, literacy, and improved law and order as the state’s success stories under BJP rule.
Tripura Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Dr. Manik Saha has called on party workers to intensify their efforts at the grassroots level and strengthen booth-level organisation in order to earn the trust and support of the people. Speaking to a gathering of BJP karyakartas at Bardowali, on the outskirts of the capital city Agartala, Saha emphasized the importance of maintaining a close and cordial relationship with the local population as a core strategy for sustained political success.
Dr. Saha, who previously served as the President of the BJP Tripura unit, highlighted that the acceptance of a political leader or party depends not merely on achievements, but on how grounded and people-centric they are in their approach. “A leader’s or a party’s acceptance increases when they remain down-to-earth. If we become arrogant or disconnected from the grassroots, we risk losing public support,” he stated.
The Chief Minister urged BJP workers to actively listen to the grievances and concerns of people in their respective booths. He stressed that real political strength is derived from community-level engagement. “We must work to ensure the strengthening of the booth-level organisation of the party. It is our duty to maintain good relations with every resident within our booth and with all fellow workers and leaders,” he said.
Comparing BJP’s governance with that of earlier administrations, Dr. Saha pointed out the contrast between the current administration and previous regimes under the CPI(M) and Congress. “We have seen how CPI(M) and Congress governed the state and practiced divisive politics. In contrast, BJP has earned people’s trust through good governance and meaningful development under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he asserted.
Dr. Saha reminded workers of the various welfare initiatives launched by the BJP government, but cautioned that delivering benefits alone is not enough. “People have received a lot from our government. But now, we must win their hearts. No person should be considered different or insignificant. We must work inclusively for all,” he said.
He also took aim at the Congress party for its failure to act during critical security challenges. “Under Congress, even Parliament and the Taj Hotel were attacked, yet no serious actions were taken. They were only good at making noise,” he remarked. In contrast, he praised Prime Minister Modi’s leadership style. “PM Modi does not rely on loud speeches or hollow promises. He quietly and effectively ensures the safety, welfare, and progress of the nation. The recent ‘Operation Sindoor’ is a shining example of his commitment.”
The Chief Minister also emphasized the BJP’s commitment to improving law and order and promoting gender respect. “Our party is working to ensure safety and dignity for every woman. We must respect all women, just as we respect our mothers,” he told the party cadre.
Dr. Saha also shared that Prime Minister Modi recently urged people during his Odisha visit to come and witness Tripura’s development firsthand. “This is a matter of great pride for us,” he said.
Highlighting Tripura’s developmental achievements, Dr. Saha informed that the state has now achieved full literacy and is making steady progress in economic indicators. “Tripura’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) is now the second highest in the Northeast, just after Assam. Our per capita income is also on the rise, ranking second only to Sikkim,” he noted.

The Chief Minister concluded his address by calling upon all BJP karyakartas to embody humility, dedication, and inclusivity in their work. “This is the only way we can uphold the ideals of our party and ensure that the people of Tripura continue to place their faith in us,” he said.
With the 2024 Lok Sabha elections behind them and eyes set on the future, Dr. Saha’s message underlines the BJP’s focus on grassroots mobilisation and public trust as the twin pillars of political success in Tripura.
