On the Occasion of Independence Day Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha handed over medals to the police officers and Home Guards, who had been awarded with President’s Medal or Home Minister’s Medal in Republic Day of 2020, 2021 and Independence Day of 2020 for their meritorious service.

He handed over the medals during the central programme of Independence Day held at Assam Rifles ground on Monday.

IGP (Crime and Intelligence) L. Darlong, Arunlal Das (DC DAR, West Tripura), Parimal Das, ASI(UB) of SB, Akhil Debbarma of Home Guard, Rita Debnath, WSI(UB) of North District, Haripada Bhaumik, ASI(UB) of SB, Ganesh Ch. Deb, Retd. SI(UB) of Gomati District, Dhrobajyoti Debbarma, I/C Inspector (UB) of Gomati District, Inspector Siddhartha Kar of West Tripura, Deputy SP Keshab Hari Jamatia of North Tripura, Pradip Kumar Aditya, H/C (AB) of Home Guards, Ganesh Chandra Majumder, Havildar (GD) of 1st-Bn TSR, Gyan Prakash Toppo, Naib Subedar (GD) of 13th Bn TSR and Sima Biswas, Dy. SP, KTDS Police Training Academy were given the medals.

Partha Pratim Bhattacharjee, senior under officer of the 13th-Bn NCC and Malsau Tulangi, senior under officer of 71st-Bn NCC were awarded for their special performance in Republic Day camp and parade- 2022 in New Delhi.

Supriya Debnath of Forest Guards was honoured with Van Ratna award while Priyalal Sen was adjudged as forester of the year. Nabendu Bhattacharjee was awarded for JFM.

They were all decorated with the medals on Independence Day for the dedicated service and performances in their respective fields.
