Sensex, Nifty turn flat amid banking, financial weakness after positive start –

The Benchmark domestic equity indices, Sensex and Nifty, were trading nearly flat in the forenoon trade today, erasing initial gains amid weakness in financial services and banking sectors. The 30-share BSE Sensex dropped 53 points to 81,260 and the NSE Nifty50 slipped 18 points to 24,734, when reports last came in.
 
Earlier, both the indices had opened higher following positive global cues and buying was seen across IT and metal sectors in the early trade.
