Actress Mouni Roy is all set to charm audiences once again, this time with the upcoming David Dhawan directorial Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. The film, which features a star-studded cast including Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde, and Mrunal Thakur, has already started creating buzz — and now, Mouni’s heartfelt message on social media has added to the excitement.
Taking to her Instagram, the Bhootnii actress shared behind-the-scenes glimpses from the set of the much-anticipated film. Her post was filled with love and gratitude for the cast and crew, especially director David Dhawan, whom she referred to as a major inspiration.
“If any of you understand magic & the theory of dream come true, this is it,” Mouni wrote. “Working with David sir was a lifelong dream. His films are like Friends to me. He and Rohit sir are the pillars of this film being made. Best experience ever.”
Expressing admiration for her co-star Varun Dhawan, she added, “Varunaaaaa @varundvn you are the most earnest, hard-working, loving, handsome superstar I have worked with. Unlucky for you, the person you are overshadows the actor/dancer you are — and to me that’s a good thing.”
Mouni didn’t stop there. She took a moment to appreciate her female co-stars as well. Talking about Pooja Hegde, she wrote, “@hegdepooja you are beautiful inside and out, and I shall never forget the support you gave me yesterday for a scene I wasn’t prepared for. You deserve to do wonders.”
She also praised filmmaker Farhad Samji for his support and guidance, calling him “the kindest” and someone who helped her immensely throughout the film.

As Mouni wrapped up her shoot schedule for the film, she revealed an exciting detail for fans: her character’s name. “BTW, my name is Shammo in this film. I think you all will like her. Tata x.”
