Fourteen fishermen freed from Sri Lankan prisons reached Chennai. This included fishermen from Rameswaram who were arrested on December 23rd last year and February 7th this year. They were imprisoned in Killinochchi, Sri Lanka.
All of them were handed over to the Indian authorities. After completing the formalities, they were sent to Chennai. The officials of the State Fisheries Department received them at the airport, and they were sent to their respective places.
