Delhi Assembly has resumed the discussion on the CAG report on public health, infrastructure and management of health services today. The report was tabled by the Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta last week.

During the discussion on the report, Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh alleged that the CAG report exposed the corruption of the previous, Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi Government. He said the report shows that in 2016, AAP said they would make 10 thousand hospital beds but till 2020-21 they only made around 1 thousand 300 beds. The Minister also alleged that the AAP government purchased medicines from blacklisted companies. He mentioned that all financial irregularities would be investigated and action would be taken against everyone involved.

Other BJP MLAs also supported the call for an investigation into this matter. BJP MLA from Laxmi Nagar constituency, Abhay Verma, stated that the COVID-19 vaccination and all related arrangements during the COVID pandemic were provided for free, but the Delhi Government failed to implement the process effectively. He accused the AAP government of engaging in corruption, even in the handling of Covid-19 testing reports.
