In Uttarakhand, so far 50 workers have been rescued safely after the avalanche in Mana village of Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, while the search operation for the remaining 5 is underway. Meanwhile, the death of four injured workers has been confirmed. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted an aerial survey of the affected area to assess the situation and review the rescue operations.

He met with Army personnel and officials from rescue agencies in Jyotirmath to get a detailed briefing on the operation. The Chief Minister directed authorities to ensure that the relief and rescue efforts are carried out swiftly and effectively.

Additionally, he also met with the rescued BRO workers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also spoke with Chief Minister Dhami over the phone to review the rescue operations. He discussed the ongoing efforts to safely evacuate the trapped workers and inquired about the prevailing weather conditions, including rain and snowfall in the state. The Prime Minister assured all possible support from the central government to deal with any emergency situation.
