Abhinaba Banik to Represent Tripura at National Youth Festival

Abhinaba Banik, a Class 10 student of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Vivek Nagar, has been selected by the Tripura government to represent the state at the prestigious National Youth Festival. Organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, this grand event commemorates the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and will be held at the Bharat Mandapam Cultural Complex in New Delhi on January 11-12, 2025.

Abhinaba has been chosen as a Youth Icon Student-Scientist, reflecting his exceptional achievements in science and leadership.

National Recognition for Tripura’s Young Talent

Abhinaba’s accomplishments include:

  • ISRO Yuvika Program: Excelled as a participant and led a team at the National Remote Sensing Centre, Hyderabad.
  • COVID Research: His study on the effects of sanitizers on the human body, conducted under the guidance of Dr. Tapan Majumdar of AGMC, earned national acclaim at the National Children’s Science Congress and Indian Science Congress.
  • Ecofest Resource Person: Selected for the India International Science Festival in Goa, organized by NICPOR and CSIR.
  • Sara Bhai Student Scientist Award: Honored for his achievements during ISRO’s Scientist Training Workshop under the VIPNET Project.
  • Artistic Excellence: His portrait, selected in a national competition, is displayed digitally at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum.

Another youth, Baibhav Datta, a Class 11 student of Hindi Higher Secondary School, Agartala, has been also selected by the Directorate of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of Tripura, as a Youth Icon in the field of Painting to participate in the National Youth Festival 2025.

The prestigious festival, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, will be held at the Bharat Mandapam Cultural Complex, New Delhi, on January 11-12, 2025, under the patronage of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. The event commemorates the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and serves as a platform for young achievers to showcase their talents and ideas.

Acknowledging Baibhav’s Artistic Excellence

Baibhav’s nomination as a Youth Icon is a testament to his exceptional achievements in painting. Known for his creativity and innovation, Baibhav has consistently demonstrated outstanding talent, earning recognition at various state and national-level art competitions. His works, which reflect a deep understanding of cultural and contemporary themes, have garnered accolades for their originality and artistic depth.
