The Tripura Tourism Promo Fest 2024, which began on December 3 with an inaugural event at Narikel Kunj, Dumboor, is set for its grand highlight with a performance by renowned singer Shreya Ghoshal on December 14 at Swami Vivekananda Maidan, Agartala.

The festival has already witnessed overwhelming participation, with over 25,000 attendees at the inaugural event. The second major event, held at Neermahal on December 9, featured the revival of the light and sound show, drawing immense enthusiasm from visitors.

Addressing a press conference at Gitanjali Guest House, Minister for Transport and Tourism, Sushanta Chowdhury, revealed details about the upcoming main event. “To ensure smooth entry and security, a free colour-coded pass system has been introduced,” Chowdhury stated.

Three types of passes will be distributed, each corresponding to designated entry gates. Spectators must use the gate matching their pass colour. The passes, which will be available free of cost from December 11 through the concerned department, aim to manage the anticipated large crowd effectively.

Chowdhury further warned against any attempts to sell these passes, emphasizing that they are strictly non-commercial. He urged the public to report such incidents to the department or police immediately.

Administrative preparations, including a review meeting with key officials, have been conducted to ensure the event’s success. Senior officials such as Secretary of the Tourism Department Uttam Kumar Chakma, DIG M. Ipper, and SP Traffic Manik Das were also present at the briefing.
