The 23rd-world-ranking pair of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand went down to their 54th-ranked opponents by 21-17, 16-21, 21-10. The duo’s loss also brought India’s challenge to an end in the competition. Earlier, Kidambi Srikanth was also knocked out in the quarter-finals of men’s singles, last night.
