Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy felicitated and announced a cash reward of 25 lakh rupees each for chess players World Rank 3 Arjun and World Rank 11 Harika, in recognition of their outstanding performances at the recently concluded 45th FIDE Chess Olympiad held in Budapest, Hungary on Friday.
Both the Indian men’s and women’s teams made history by winning team gold medals, with Arjun also securing an additional individual gold medal for India, further elevating the nation’s stature on the global chess stage.
