The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a second charge sheet in connection with the NEET UG 2024 question paper leak and theft case, before the designated CBI court in Patna against six accused. The charge sheet has been submitted under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code, including Section 120-B, Section 109 Section 409 (Criminal Breach of Trust), Section 420 and Section 380.

Additionally, substantive charges have been invoked under various sections of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 against the Oasis School’s Principal Dr. Ehsanul Haque, who was appointed as the City Coordinator and the Vice-Principal Md. Imtiyaz Alam who was designated as the Centre Superintendent by NTA for conduct of NEET UG-2024 examination.

This second charge sheet has been filed against the accused namely Baldev Kumar alias Chintu, Sunny Kumar, Dr. Ehsanul Haque, Md. Imtiyaz Alam, and a local journalist of Hazaribag Jamaluddin and Aman Kumar Singh. CBI had earlier, filed the first charge sheet against 13 accused on 1st August this year.

So far, a total of 48 individuals have been arrested in connection with the NEET Paper leak case.  The Economic Offence Unit (EOU) had unearthed and had filed FIR in the case on 5th May this year.
