Leading coaching institute of the state School of Science has announced free coaching for 500 students aspiring for higher studies in various national level institutes including IIT, IIM, IISER, Mediciens etc. Out of these 500 students 100 will also be selected through examinations for scholarship, said principal of the School of Science Abhijit Bhattacharjee.
On Thursday the Schools of Science felicitated students who could make it to the IIT and IISER in simple programme in the institute at Kunjaban.
Among them Baishali Das who will now be studying Aero Space Engineering in IIT Kanpur happens to be the first student to study the subject from Tripura, said Bhattacharjee.
Souramita Reang and Siddhanta Datta Gupta will be studying IIT Guwahati while Gaurav Malakar will be studying IIT Khargpur. Roya Paul and Joel Debbarma will be studying at Indian Institute of Science, Education and Research in Kolkata and Bhopal respectively.
“They all achieved these spectacular successes during Covid pandemic when educational activities were seriously affected. Yet, they made it through by the perseverance, commitment, devotion and focused labour. And it assumes all the more significant that all these were achieved through all India competitions of the brightest minds”, said Bhattacharjee.
The students were felicitated with GoldMedal, Rs 5000 each, Uttorio and flower bouquet.
Senior journalist Manas Pal also spoke on the occasion and motivated the students.
