Union Minister for MSME Jitan Ram Manjhi has called upon the women to come forward in enterprise and self-employment.
Inaugurating the first “Yashaswini” awareness campaign organized at the Rajasthan International Center in Jaipur on Friday, he said that the campaign has been started with the aim of providing assistance and promoting women entrepreneurs. Mr. Manjhi emphasized upon creating clusters of various industries and called for providing bank finance to these clusters, as given to MSMEs.
Minister of State for MSME, Shobha Karandlaje said in her address that the government is running many schemes to promote women entrepreneurs. She said that only by becoming financially capable can women achieve self-reliance and self-confidence.
More than 600 women entrepreneurs, members of self-help groups, micro informal entrepreneurs, artisans and future women entrepreneurs are participating in this programme.
