The new terminal of Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport, Agartala has begun operation from Saturday. All passengers are now taking their flight from the new terminal while the incming passengers are coming through it.
Union Minister of state Pratima Bhowmik welcomed the first flight that came to this new terminal building.
The announcement on commencement of operation in the new airport terminal came through the official Twitter handle of MBB Airport, Agartala.
“Hon’ble PM of India inaugurated NITB at MBB Airport on 04/01/2022. The commercial flight operations and passenger movement will be started on 15/01/2022 from the New Integrated Terminal Building at MBB Airport. This is for information to all the passengers and public in general,” the tweet said.
However, since morning the autorickshaws who ferry the passengers to and fro Airport alleged that they were not allowed to enter into the premise which forced the passengers to walk down a long distance with their luggages.
