As anticipated TIPRA Motha is going to join the ruling BJP-IPFT alliance. In a fast moving development two new ministers in the state cabinet will be inducted. Opposition Leader Animesh Debbarma and Brishaketu Debbarma will join the Dr Manik Saha led government in a Swearing in ceremony. The swearing in which was supposed to take place today afternoon itself was ultimately deferred as party supremo Pradyot Kishore Could reach here from Delhi. Sources said,.The oath taking ceremony will be held at Raj Bhawan where Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu will administere the oath to the new ministers. Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha who was scheduled to leave for West Bengal tonight is also likely to postpone his visit till tomorrow morning.

Sources said, while Raj Bhawan was fully prepared for the Swearing in of two TIPRA Motha MLAs, Animesh Debbarma and Brishaketu did not agree to take oath in absence of Pradyot Kishore.

The joining of the TIPRA Motha in the government was first decided in New Delhi in recent meeting and later was finalized in the TIPRA Motha meeting yesterday under the chairmanship of Pradyot Kishore Debbarma.

With TIPRA Motha joining the government it will now be three party alliance-BJP, TIPRA Motha and IPFT. While IPFT got one minister Suklacharan Noatia, TIPRA Motha could manage to get two berths in the ministry following a agitations and rallies. After Animesh and Brishaketu becoming ministers it is clear that the East Tripura Lok Sabha seat will now be contested by the BJP with the support of the TIPRA Motha.

All these developments though not exactly surprising came following the meetings and discussions behind the curtians at political levels. The indications were clear after the recent signing of the MoU and TIPRA MOtha’s agreements that they would not resort to any agitation.
